Our latest Bradstone Assured poll shows that nearly ¾ of Brits feel anxious when dealing with a landscaper they haven’t met before and over 60% said they thought it was difficult to find an honest tradesman.
Consumers’ main concerns are focused on whether a job would be finished on time, being charged more than the original quote and fears that their landscaper would go out of business before the job was complete, leaving them stranded.
Doing the basics well is the most important thing to consumers. Over 70% still ask friends and family for recommendations. So doing the job well, on time and to budget will be the best form of advertising you can do.

Less than a 1/3 check for professional credentials and only 1 in 4 take up references. 70% don’t even know the surname of the person they are employing so they could be any Tom, Dick or Harry!
